Cryogenic valves include cryogenic ball valves, cryogenic gate valves, cryogenic globe valve, cryogenic safety valves, cryogenic check valves, cryogenic butterfly valves, cryogenic needle valves, cryogenic throttle valves, and cryogenic pressure relief valves. These valves are primarily used in ethylene production, liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants, LNG/LPG storage tanks, receiving terminals and satellite stations, air separation units, petrochemical tail gas separation systems, low-temperature storage tanks and tank trucks for liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide, as well as pressure swing adsorption (PSA) oxygen generation systems. The transported cryogenic media-such as ethylene, liquid oxygen, liquid hydrogen, LNG, and liquefied petroleum products-are not only highly flammable and explosive but also undergo vaporization with hundreds of times volume expansion when temperatures rise.
Material Selection for LNG Valves
The material quality of LNG valves is critical. Substandard materials may lead to external or internal leakage in valve shells and sealing surfaces. Inadequate mechanical properties, strength, or stiffness in components can result in fractures, potentially causing explosions due to LNG leakage. Thus, material selection is the foremost priority in the development, design, and manufacturing of LNG valves.
Low-temperature stainless steel flange stop valve standards and product structure:
1. Design: API6D, JB/T7749
2. Valve routine inspection and testing: according to API598 standard.
3. Valve low-temperature inspection and testing: According to JB/T7749.
4. Drive mode: manual, bevel gear drive and electric drive device.
5. Valve seat form: The valve seat adopts a welded structure, and the sealing surface is welded with cobalt-based hard alloy to ensure the sealing performance of the valve.
6. The gate plate adopts an elastic structure, and a pressure relief hole is designed at the pressure inlet end.
7. The valve body of the one-way sealed valve is marked with a flow direction mark.

Manufacturing and testing of low-temperature stainless steel flange stop valves:

After special low-temperature treatment of low-temperature stainless steel flange stop valve, the rough-processed parts are placed in the cooling medium for several hours (2-6 hours) , to release stress, ensure the low temperature performance of the material, and ensure the precision machining size to prevent the valve from leaking due to deformation caused by temperature changes when working in low temperature conditions. The assembly of the valve is also different from that of ordinary valves, and the parts need to be strictly cleaned. , remove any oil stains to ensure performance.
