Precautions For Solenoid Valves

Dec 15, 2024 Leave a message

‌When using solenoid valves, pay attention to the following matters:

‌Prevent impurities from entering the solenoid valve‌: Prevent the oil mist generated in the booster cylinder from penetrating into the solenoid valve through the air pipe, because this may bring in impurities such as dust particles, causing rust inside the pipe‌.
‌Cleaning the solenoid valve‌: During use, if the medium changes, the solenoid valve needs to be cleaned. Solutions such as kerosene and trichloroethylene can be used for cleaning, but it should be noted that these solutions may cause the rubber parts to swell, so the rubber parts should be replaced after cleaning‌.
‌Protect the coil assembly‌: The coil assembly of the solenoid valve should not be disassembled at will, because this may damage the coil‌.
‌Installation direction and position‌: The installation direction of the solenoid valve is usually fixed and cannot be installed in reverse. There is an "arrow" mark on the valve body to indicate the flow direction of the medium, and the installation should be carried out in this direction. The solenoid coil component of the solenoid valve should be installed vertically upward, perpendicular to the pipeline‌.
‌Avoid long-term power-on‌: The continuous power-on time should not exceed 4 hours, otherwise the coil may burn out. When powered on for a long time, a module needs to be installed‌. ‌Waterproof treatment‌: Waterproof solenoid valves should not be immersed in water for a long time. For long-term immersion in water, underwater solenoid valves should be selected‌.
‌Regular inspection and maintenance‌: After the solenoid valve is installed, the medium must be passed through for several test actions. It can only be put into formal use after confirming that it is normal. The dirt inside and outside the large valve and the armature suction surface should be cleaned regularly, and be careful not to damage the sealing surface‌.
‌Avoid side installation‌: Solenoid valves are generally installed horizontally. If they are installed on the side, the valve may not be closed tightly, that is, internal leakage‌.
‌Working pressure control‌: When working, pay attention to the pressure gauges before and after the valve. The working pressure must not exceed the rated pressure, and the working pressure difference must be within the rated pressure difference range. When the working pressure exceeds the rated pressure or the working pressure difference exceeds the rated pressure difference, the solenoid valve should be stopped‌.
‌Processing after deactivation‌: When the solenoid valve is not used for a long time, the manual valve in front of the valve should be closed. When re-activated, the steam solenoid valve should remove the condensate cleanly, and perform test actions several times, and then put it into use after the switch is normal‌.
