KCB Gear Oil Pump

KCB series gear oil pump is are mainly composed of gears, shafts, pump body, valves and shaft end seals. Meanwhile, in order to gears are heat-treated with high hardness and high strength, so they can convey some high viscosity liquid media. When this pump works, the parts in the pump will be automatically lubricated by the output medium. In order to minimize the torque on the gears in operation, KCB series gear pumps are designed with reasonable discharge and return tanks. Besides, the pump is also designed with a safety valve for overload protection, and the full return pressure of the safety valve is 1.5 times of the rated discharge pressure of the pump.
KCB gear oil pump is mainly used to transport lubricating oil goods. Stainless steel gear pump, can transport non-lubricating oils, beverages, and low-corrosive liquids. Equipped with copper gears, it can transport low internal point liquids, such as gasoline, benzene, etc. The pump gears are all made of hard tooth surfaces, and a safety valve is included to protect the motor from overload.

This KCB Gear Oil Pump is designed for pumping light fuel oils such as diesel, kerosene, and biodiesel. It is also possible to pump vegetable oil, motor oil, and even glycerol (waste product in biodiesel process). However, the viscosity of the working fluid will greatly determine if the pump can handle it. The duty cycle of the pump may not be continuous if these thicker oils are the fluid medium and especially if they are below 100°F.


The KCB Gear Oil Pump is a pump attached to the motor by a shaft. The pump itself is all metal (metal gears) and can pump hot fluids without affecting the motor.The motor is high power and has thermal protection, which will automatically shut off the pump in case of the risk of overheating.


These KCB Gear Oil Pump create powerful suction and are self-priming. They can run dry for only intermediate amounts of time, allowing for the use of a suction hose for collecting fluids from a tank. They should not be run dry for an extended period of time as oil is required to lubricate the pump head. The metal gears which drive the pumping action can handle a lot of fluids, even if partially dirty. In the case of vegetable oil, any soft particles will pass right through the pump with no problems, and are often pulverized by the gears. Hard materials, such as metals, should not be allowed to pass through the pump or it may cause damage to the gears.

1. It is suitable for conveying various oils, such as heavy oil, diesel oil, and lubricating oil. It can be used with copper gears to convey low internal point liquids, such as gas oil, stupid, etc. The unit also produces stainless steel gear pumps that can convey beverages and corrosive liquid.

 

2. Not suitable for hard particles or fibers, the applicable viscosity is 5×10-5～1.5×103m2/s. The max transport liquid temperature shall be below 300℃.

 

3. Structural characteristics of KCB gear oil pump

This series of gear pumps is mainly composed of gear, shaft, pump body, safety valve and shaft end seal. The gears are heat-treated to have high hardness and strength. The lubrication of all parts in the pump is automatically lubricated by transferred medium. The pump is equipped with a safety valve as overload protection. The total safety pressure is 1.5 times than rated discharge pressure, and it can also be adjusted according to actual needs within the allowable discharge pressure range. However, note that this safety valve cannot be used for long-term work of the pressure reducing valve, and it can be installed on the pipeline if necessary.
