Pneumatic Diaphragm Pump moves fluid by the alternate and repeated back-and-forth movement (strokes) of two flexible membranes or diaphragms mounted on a common shaft (Figure 1). Although diaphragm pumps can be driven directly, with the shaft connected directly to a motor, an air driven double diaphragm pump pump uses compressed air with a sophisticated distribution system directing the air alternately to two air chambers on the opposite sides of the diaphragms.

How the air distribution system works
The QBK built-in air distribution system incorporates two moving parts: the air valve spool and the pilot spool, which also are the heart parts for the system. The pressurized air start ingressing into one side hole of pilot spool and then trigger the air valve move. It directs pressurized air to one air chamber while exhuasting the other. The air causes the main shaft/diaphragm assembly to shift to one side (discharging liquid on that side and pulling liquid in one other side). When the shaft reach to the end of the stroke, the diphragm plate actuates the pilot spool. The air start ingressing into other side hole of pilot spool then trigger the air valve to otherside too.

The conveyed medium will not leak to the outside. When toxins and flammable or corrosive media are discharged, they will not cause environmental pollution and human safety hazards.
5. It is safe and reliable to use in flammable and other sensitive conditions and exploration sites.
6. The pump can be completely immersed in the medium without affecting its use.
7. The pump is easy to use and reliable. To start or stop, just open or close the gas valve body. Even if there is no medium operation or sudden stop for a long time due to accident, it also has self-protection function. When the load recovers normally, it can also be started automatically
8. Single structure, not easy to damage, convenient for maintenance and installation. The medium delivered by the pump will not contact the matching pneumatic valve and connecting rod.
9. The pump does not need oil for lubrication, even if the lack of medium causes idling, there is no damage to the pump.
