Resilient Seated Gate Valve

Resilient seated gate valve is are designed with built-in safety in every detail. The wedge is fully vulcanized with Hongar’s own drinking water approved EPDM rubber compound. It features outstanding durability due to the ability of the rubber to regain its original shape, the double bonding vulcanization process and the sturdy wedge design. The triple stem seal system, the high strength stem and the thorough corrosion protection safeguard the unmatched reliability.
A resilient seated gate valve (PN 16, F4) – Ductile iron has a plain valve bottom allowing free passage for sand and pebbles in the valve. If impurities pass as the valve closes, the rubber surface will close around the impurities while the valve is closed.They are valves that give way to the fluid and stop the flow by the movement of the flapper called gate in the vertical plane by means of a worm screw shaft. Gate valves are not adjustment valves and should be used as fully open or fully closed. Perfect sealing is provided by soft gasket coating on the slider.

Resilient seated gate valve is a bidirectional on/off full port valve, made of ductile iron and designed for the supply and distribution of drinking water and also used in sewage water treatment plants.
The wedge is fully rubber lined with high quality EPDM material, which ensures a perfect hydraulic sealing of the valve: thanks to the elastic features of the rubber, the obturator can recover its original shape also after long periods of compression when the valve is closed. During opening and closing operations the sliding friction of the wedge on the valve body is reduced by its slippery guides: in this way the operating torque is lowered, and the valve life is extended.
Resilient seated gate valve is generally equipped with an operating handwheel, but versions with square cap, with stem extension, with position indicator, with manual gearbox or with electric actuator are available upon request.
The valve is suitable for drinking water application: the fusion bonded epoxy process (FBE), with certified resin powders used for internal and external surfaces, guarantees a heavy corrosion protection.

Overall rubber coating
The overall coating of the inside and outside of the disc is used with high quality rubber, and the domestic leading rubber vulcanization technology is used to keep the valve that maintains accurate geometric size. More importantly, the high stickiness between rubber and disc sticks the rubber stably together and has good elastic memory.


Strong corrosion resistance
The valve body is coated with epoxy resin powder to prevent the valve from corrosion and rust, and the valve can be used for the wastewater system. It is difficult to break, and the traditional gate valve has broken due to the impact or collision of other objects. The new valve body material is ductile iron, which significantly reduces the broken condition of this material.


Non-toxic epoxy resin coating
Due to the internal and non -toxic epoxy resin coating inside the valve body, the surface of the inside and outside of the valve is completely covered with rubber, rust or corrosion will not occur, which ensures that the water can drink.


The valve body uses precision casting
The valve body is made of precision, and the precise geometric shape makes it possible to ensure the sealing of the valve without any other processing inside the valve.


Better sealing performance
The resilient seated gate valve uses soft materials such as rubber to achieve sealing between the wedge disc and the seat. The sealing effect is better, it can adapt to a complex environment, and has higher sealing reliability and service life.


Lower maintenance costs
The sealing ring of the resilient seated gate valve is made of high elastic materials. It has a long service life and can save more maintenance costs. At the same time, the valve body is made of ductile iron. The weight is about 20%to 30% lighter than the traditional valve. It is easy to install and maintain, and can reduce maintenance costs and time.
